Time-dependence of ΣTyr relative to [Phe] o across all conditions of variable Phe and pyrite levels. The [ΣTyr] through time relative to the [Phe]o peaks within a narrow range (shown in the boxed area) corresponding to similar timescales relative to Phe loss. The differences that are apparent in the kinetics of Tyr decay between experiments are due to variations in pyrite reactivity, but predicted by model calculations show below.
