The steady-state median floc size ( d ₅₀ μm) for the systems containing 250 mg L^-1montmorillonite and varying quantities (0 – 20 mg L^-1in terms of total organic carbon (TOC)) of organic matter (either xanthan gum (XG) or humic acid (HA)) was determined at four discrete salinity values (i.e., S = 0, 3.5, 7 and 17.5 psu). This figure shows the same xanthan gum and humic acid data presented in Figure 2, but on a different y axis scale.
